Calling a risky decision a silly mistake does not reduce its importance. Identify what caused it and practise until the safer response is reliable. Can you pass realistic mock tests? A mock should include sustained independent driving, unfamiliar decisions and limited coaching. One successful mock is encouraging; consistent results are stronger evidence. Have you driven in varied conditions? Practise different roads and traffic levels. When appropriate, experience rain, darkness and busy periods with your instructor so test day is not the first time conditions feel different. Does your instructor agree? An approved instructor sees your performance across many sessions and understands the standard required. Discuss any disagreement using specific skills and evidence rather than a date alone. Moving a test can be frustrating, but attending before you are ready may cost more time and confidence. A clear improvement plan is better than simply repeating full test routes.
